Will Qarabag overcome challenging conditions against Bodo/Glimt?

As the UEFA Europa League group stage continues, Qarabag faces a critical test against Norway’s Bodo/Glimt, where challenging weather and field conditions could pose additional obstacles.

Idman.biz reports according to Opta Analyst, a team needs at least 9 points to secure playoff advancement—something Qarabag must now work hard to achieve after a rocky start.

Norwegian football expert Erlend Nesje commented on the match, noting that while Bodo/Glimt remains the league leader in Norway’s Eliteserien, they’ve faced setbacks recently:

"Bodø/Glimt still leads the Norwegian Eliteserien, but in a month and a half, they have lost a gap of 10 points and are now tied on points with Brann at the top. They are not in the same good shape as in the summer and have struggled with injuries in the striker positions. They have played better than most of the opponents, but have missed too many chances.

However, In the Europa League they have been really strong with two wins and one draw. In Europe the Norwegian team has the advantage of playing on artificial grass, and they beat Porto at home 3-2 in the first match.

Bodø/Glimt still have a great hunger in Europe and tend to rise in the big games and take a big advantage of playing on their home ground. Artificial grass, lots of wind, cold and lots of rain make many of the opponents frustrated.

But Bodø/Glimt is aware that Qarabag has caused trouble for Norwegian opponents in the past. They came close to beating Molde's very good team in 2020 in the Champions League qualification. And they crushed Molde's dream of advancement in the Europa League last year.
Even though Bodø/Glimt have beaten the Portuguese teams, Porto and Braga, they know they cannot underestimate a hard-fighting Qarabag."

Given these conditions, Qarabag will face not only a determined opponent but also Norway’s cold, windy, and rainy climate—elements that could test the resilience of the Azerbaijani champions.
