Today, Qarabag will face Norway's Bodo/Glimt in an away match in the Europa League.
Idman.biz reports that Russian expert Mikhail Korobov from Championat.com has shared his predictions regarding the match.
Korobov explains that Bodo/Glimt's recent domestic struggles are due to their focus on the Europa League: "One of the main reasons for Bodo/Glimt’s inability to perform well domestically is their focus on the Europa League. The Norwegians have managed to defeat Porto (3:2) in a tough match, draw with Union (0:0), and beat Braga (2:1). Meanwhile, the situation is different for Qarabag. They have been regularly achieving good results in the Azerbaijan Premier League but have lost all three of their Europa League matches. They suffered a heavy 0:3 defeat to Tottenham, then lost to Malmö (1:2) and Ajax (0:3)."
Korobov also highlights the red cards received by Julio Romao and Elvin Jafarquliyev in the match against Ajax: "In the game against Ajax, two key players received red cards, meaning they will miss the next match due to suspension. Coach Gurban Gurbanov does not have the resources to replace them without a loss in quality. He has very limited options. Romao and Jafarquliyev are some of the most reliable players in defense. However, Qarabag can still score one or even two goals in the match. They are a good team at taking shots on goal. I expect Bodo Glimt to win the match, and there is a possibility of a total of three goals in the game. The level of Qarabag’s players is much lower compared to Porto and Braga. If Bodo Glimt managed to score five goals against the Portuguese clubs, it will be even easier for them to score more against Qarabag."
The match between Bodo/Glimt and Qarabag will kick off at 21:45.
