70th win on the horizon for Qarabag in Norway

Today, Qarabag will have the chance to achieve their 70th victory in continental tournaments when they face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.

Idman.biz reports that the Aghdam club has won 69 times before this match in the UEL league phase, and this potential win will mark their 70th.

The most successful club in Azerbaijan has achieved this in 185 matches. Qarabag’s winning percentage in Europe stands at 37.3%.
The club's victories include 24 in the Champions League, 36 in the Europa League, 8 in the Conference League, and 1 in the Intertoto Cup. The only tournament in which they have not won is the Cup Winners' Cup.

As the record-holder for the most wins in Azerbaijan, Qarabag needs to defeat Bodo/Glimt today in Norway to reach their 70th win. Previously, their last major win was in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, although this milestone was delayed five times.

Qarabag’s most recent joy came in Bulgaria, where they thrashed Ludogorets 7-2. However, in the subsequent five matches, they were defeated. In the Champions League playoffs, they lost to Dinamo Zagreb (0:3, 0:2), and in the Europa League group stage, they were unable to overcome Tottenham (0:3), Malmö (1:2), and Ajax (0:3).

Qarabag debuted in European competitions in 1996, and their first victory came three years later in a 2-1 away win against Maccabi Haifa in the Intertoto Cup.
