Galatasaray’s forward Mauro Icardi’s injury status has been updated.
According to Idman.biz, this was announced by the Turkish club’s press office.
The 31-year-old striker was injured during Galatasaray’s Europa League match against Tottenham in the fourth round of the group stage. He suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his leg and will undergo surgery, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Galatasaray defeated the English club 3-2.
