"Returning to the national team is always a pleasure," stated Alexander Isak, Swedish striker and opponent of Azerbaijan in the UEFA Nations League.
As Idman.biz reports, Isak shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming matches against Slovakia and Azerbaijan. The forward from Newcastle United, who could celebrate his 50th appearance if he plays in both games, spoke positively about the team environment: "There’s great harmony in our squad. Everyone is upbeat, and we’re all eagerly awaiting these two important games. I hope many fans will come to support us, as it would be great motivation to secure a win."
The 25-year-old striker previously made a memorable impact against Azerbaijan with a double. In his 48 matches for the national team, he has scored 14 goals but was sidelined recently due to injury.
The Sweden-Azerbaijan match will take place on November 19 at Strawberry Arena.
