Joan Laporta, president of the Spanish football club Barcelona, is set to visit Baku.
According to Idman.biz, Laporta will attend the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change's Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku.
His visit is scheduled for November 16, as the COP29 conference runs from November 11 to 22.
Laporta's tenure as Barcelona’s president (2003-2010) was highly successful, with the team winning four La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, and a total of 12 major trophies.
In 2009, Barcelona won six trophies in a single year, setting a remarkable record. Laporta was re-elected as president of Barcelona in March 2021.
