“Tomorrow we face a tough match,” said Afran Ismayilov, former player of the Azerbaijan national football team, in an interview with Idman.biz.
He commented on Azerbaijan’s upcoming match in the UEFA Nations League, where they will play against Estonia in the fifth round. Ismayilov emphasized the importance of winning this game: "If we’re not thinking about scoring, we will drop to League C. Of course, even a draw is not in our favor. We need to score at least two goals to secure our position. Estonia is a team we can beat, and playing at home gives us a chance. Everyone is expecting a victory. A win is absolutely necessary tomorrow. If that doesn’t happen, it means there are still issues to address. Every coach is given time."
The match between Azerbaijan and Estonia will take place on November 16 at 18:00 at the Gabala City Stadium.
