As part of the 29th Session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) hosted in Baku, the Qarabag Football Club continues to attract high-profile figures to Azerbaijan.
Idman.biz reports that renowned sports commentator David Garrido will be among the notable guests attending the event.
Invited by Qarabag, Garrido is well-known for his commentary on Sky Sports, captivating millions with his insights. With expertise in both English and Spanish, the British commentator boasts over 20 years of experience in the field. He will act as a host during the event dedicated to the establishment of an alliance of football clubs committed to combating climate change.
This initiative is being spearheaded by Qarabag in collaboration with the European Club Association (ECA) and under the patronage of COP29 and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Notably, clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham (England), Atletico Madrid, Real Betis (Spain), Fenerbahce, Galatasaray (Turkiye), Udinese (Italy), Porto (Portugal), Flamengo (Brazil), and Malmö (Sweden) will also be part of the alliance.
The event will take place on November 16 at 2:00 PM in the Nasimi Hall of the Blue Zone. It is open to all accredited participants of the Blue Zone.
