Qarabag is on the verge of concluding yet another spectacular season.
With four matches remaining, the team has clinched their fourth consecutive and twelfth overall Azerbaijan Premier League title, Idman.biz reports.
Qarabag president Tahir Gozel shared his thoughts following this remarkable achievement, Idman.biz reports.
The Aghdam-based club secured the championship after a 1–1 draw against Sabah in Matchday 32 of the Misli Premier League.
Speaking to the club's official website, Gozel congratulated the team and fans on yet another successful season:
"Although we secured the title with several rounds to spare, it was by no means an easy journey. Every team approached their matches against us with maximum motivation and determination. This is a testament to Qarabag's growth into a European-level club. As our successes grow, so does our opponents' drive to beat us. The stronger the competition becomes, the stronger Qarabag becomes in response."
"Our consecutive championships and European achievements are the result of the unity we've built within the club. Moral values have always been a cornerstone for Qarabag, and this spirit has carried us to the top. We have consistently represented Azerbaijan as its best-ranked team in both global and European standings. Moreover, we have outperformed several renowned European clubs — including some with significant fanbases in our country. Thanks to our results and reputation, Qarabag is now recognized and respected across Europe."
"This success is the fruit of a collective effort — from the management and head coach Gurban Gurbanov to every staff member. I sincerely congratulate the Board of Directors, our coaching staff, players, and every Qarabag employee, as well as all our passionate fans, on this record-breaking 12th championship."
Gozel also touched on the club’s European campaign and future goals:
"Before securing the domestic title, Qarabag once again made its mark in Europe. With a brilliant win against Ludogorets in Bulgaria, we reached the UEFA Champions League playoffs and, for the 11th consecutive season, made it into the main stages of European competitions. In the inaugural edition of the new Europa League format, Qarabag faced elite teams in eight matches, thrilling fans with their fighting spirit and strong performances."
"Our opponents included six teams that advanced to the next stages — Tottenham, Ajax, Lyon, Olympiacos, Bodo/Glimt, and FCSB — highlighting the high level of competition we faced. Notably, one of our rivals will play in the European finals this year, with Tottenham and Bodo/Glimt reaching the semifinals and set to battle for a spot in the final."
"Our successes at home and in Europe drive us toward new goals. We are eagerly looking forward to the Azerbaijan Cup final. Our opponent, Sabah, is a very strong and steadily improving team. Of course, this is football — anything can happen — but we are fully focused on the final. Qarabag is aiming to win yet another title and complete the season with a 'Golden Double' for the second consecutive year."
"Having lifted the national cup eight times before, we are determined to secure a ninth triumph. Sabah also places great importance on this match as it offers a ticket to European competitions. We believe the final will be a true football celebration for the fans."
"After the final, we will begin preparing for the next season with great motivation and confidence. Our goals remain clear: to defend our league title, achieve new milestones in Europe, and proudly represent Qarabag and Azerbaijan on the continental stage. We have always carried this responsibility with pride, and we will continue to fight to elevate our name even higher."
"I have complete trust and belief in our team, and the team believes in me and the management. This mutual trust will continue to carry us forward."
