Not fully satisfied with any of the goalkeepers in the squad, Qarabag’s head coach, Gurban Gurbanov, has begun searching for a new goalkeeper.The experienced coach has asked the club management to sign a new shot-stopper.
Idman.biz, citing Futbolinfo.az, reports that there is a need for a goalkeeper who can create competition for the first-choice goalkeeper, Mateusz Kowalski. Fabijan Buntic, who has failed to meet expectations, will be released at the end of the season. Shahriyar Mammadaliyev has also shown that he is not fully reliable. As a result, the club is on the lookout for a higher-quality foreign player.
According to our sources, Qarabag is looking to bring back their former goalkeeper, Ibrahim Sehic. The 36-year-old, currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al Khaleej, has already received the first offer. The Bosnian goalkeeper is reportedly interested in the offer.
Discussions are ongoing regarding the financial terms needed for Sehic to leave his current club and whether the player would be willing to accept a proposed salary. If an agreement is reached, Sehic will return to Qarabag, where he played from 2013 to 2018, on a two-year contract.
