Neftchi’s hopes of qualifying for European tournaments have officially come to an end following their latest result in the Misli Premier League.

The Baku-based club dropped two crucial points in Sumgayit, drawing 2-2 against the local team. As a result, Neftchi, currently in 6th place, has no chance of climbing to 4th, which is the minimum position required for a European spot.

If Qarabag — the league champion — also wins the Azerbaijan Cup, the 4th-placed team in the Premier League will earn a ticket to the UEFA Conference League.
