"The World Cup in Baku will be a good test for me at the beginning of the season."
This was told by two-time World Champion in tumbling Mikhail Malkin.
He spoke about the preparation for the World Cup, the first tournament of the year, which will be held on February 23-25 at the National Gymnastics Arena: "We are training according to the approved program. It's true that I've taken a not-so-great break lately. The reason for this is that I have a pain in my leg, but I think that next week I will start training again in full volume."
Malkin added that the main start of the year is the European Championship, which will be held on April 3-7 in Guimaraes, Portugal: "We will all go to the European Championship with high spirits, because we will compete for victory in the team score. There is additional motivation, because I understand that I can win a total of two medals, both individually and as a team. It is necessary for us to improve the victory achieved in the World Championship in Birmingham in Guimaraes."
It should be noted that Maxim Malkin, Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizada, the winners of the team competitions of the World Championship, as well as Huseyn Abbasov and Bilal Gurbanov will participate in the tumbling World Cup in Baku.
