Baku hosts first-ever TeamGym European Championship

For the first time, the European TeamGym Championship kicks off in Baku today.

As reported by Idman.biz, the competition will run until October 19, featuring thrilling team-based performances across three apparatuses: The TeamGym carpet, acrobatic track, and trampet (mini trampoline). Audiences will witness top-tier athletes from across Europe compete for the championship title at the National Gymnastics Arena, promising breathtaking moments in this growing sport.

TeamGym has been gaining momentum in Azerbaijan since 2018, and today the country boasts a strong base of professional athletes, coaches, and judges. Success in this event requires not only individual excellence but also seamless teamwork, making mental and physical preparation key factors in victory.

46 teams from 14 countries will battle for the top spot, representing nations like the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, and host Azerbaijan.

28 expert judges will evaluate the skill, coordination, and artistry of the athletes.
