European TeamGym Championship kicks off in Baku

Today, for the first time, the European TeamGym Championship has begun in Baku.

Idman.biz reports that the competition will run until October 19.

This event features team competitions across three apparatuses: the TeamGym floor, acrobatic track, and trampet (mini trampoline). The best teams from across Europe will compete for the championship title at the National Gymnastics Arena. Spectators will experience a whirlwind of emotions as they witness this rapidly evolving discipline for the first time.

TeamGym has been developing in Azerbaijan since 2018. Today, the country boasts professional athletes, coaches, and judges in this discipline. In TeamGym, winning requires not only individual skill and expertise but also strong teamwork. Victory belongs to those who are mentally and physically prepared.

Teams from 14 countries, totaling 46 teams, will compete in this championship. Athletes from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, and, of course, the host nation, Azerbaijan, will showcase their talents at the National Gymnastics Arena. A panel of 28 judges will evaluate the performances of these top-tier athletes.
