The European TeamGym Championships are in full swing in Baku.
The competition, taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena, features participants from 14 countries, including the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, and host nation Azerbaijan, as reported by Idman.biz.
A total of 46 teams and 541 athletes are competing in the event.
Today, the senior teams will begin their performances in the qualification round, with all eyes on the Azerbaijani national team. The squad includes Adil Hajizada, Nihad Muradli, Elnur Mammadov, Aydın Alizada, Ramin Damirov, Rasul Ahmadzada, Mansum Safarov, and Tofig Aliyev, while Chingiz Valiyev will remain as a reserve. They are scheduled to perform in the evening session.
TeamGym, a popular team-based competition promoted by European Gymnastics, consists of performances on three apparatuses: The TeamGym floor, an acrobatic track, and the trampet (mini trampoline).
