According to Idman.biz, these were the reflections of Sara Alixanli, a member of Azerbaijan’s national aerobics gymnastics team, on winning her silver medal at the Gymnasiade held in Manama, Bahrain.
"Our opponents were strong, but we didn't fall behind," the young athlete stated. "As a result, we put up a good fight. We prepared very well for this competition. Next year, I’ll be competing in a different age group, and I hope to achieve high results in the events I take part in."
The Azerbaijan aerobics gymnastics team, composed of Leyla Ahmadova, Sara Alixanli, Fidan İbrahimova, Maryam Topchubashova, and Evelina Kozlovskaya, claimed second place on the podium.
