The Azerbaijani tumbling team reached the finals of the world championship held in Birmingham.
Idman.biz reports that the team consisting of Mikhail Malkin, Adil Hajizadeh, Elnur Mammadov and Tofig Aliyev finished the qualification stage in the first place.
The Azerbaijani "four" scored 168,700 points and left behind the teams of Great Britain, Denmark, USA and Portugal.
In individual competitions, Mikhail Malkin was the leader of the division with a score of 59,000 points. Along with Malkin, Tofig Aliyev (7th place, 55,100) and Adil Hajizadeh (12th place, 54,600) qualified for the final round.
