Idman.biz reports that in an interview with Report.az, Qarabag handball player Madina Salamova shared her thoughts on their defeat to Ukraine’s Galychanka in the third round of the European Cup.
Salamova noted that the matches were as intense as expected: “We tried our best. Everything was fine until the first half of the first match. The game was evenly matched, with only a one or two-goal difference. At times, we even took the lead. However, as I mentioned, the opponent was very strong. It was difficult to compete with them until the end. Unfortunately, we couldn’t achieve success.”
Qarabag lost both matches held at the Kur Olympic Sports Training Center in Mingachevir, with scores of 20:33 and 19:34.
