Russian ice hockey star Alexander Ovechkin has equaled Wayne Gretzky’s long-standing record of 894 career goals in regular season play, Idman,biz reports.

The Washington Capitals forward matched the iconic record during a home game against the Chicago Blackhawks, contributing two goals to secure a 5–3 victory for his team.
