"Athletes in some weight categories disappoint us to some extent. Unfortunately, they subverts our expectations."
This was said by Rashad Rasullu, the general secretary of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, who was a guest of the Idman Bizde program.
He said that the performance of Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) was not encouraging. According to Rasullu, the 32-year-old sportsman is having trouble getting results: "Unfortunately, Ushangi cannot fully justify federation's trust. But it is also a fact that he is currently our strongest athlete in this weight. Currently, he is the judoka who secured the license for Paris-2024. Of course, we will continue to work with him as a coaching staff and the federation."
