Azerbaijani judoka will fight for bronze

The European championship among junior judokas continues.

Idman.biz informs that on the second day of the competition held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, 5 athletes of the Azerbaijan national team went to the mat.

Boys
66 kg

Salim Sultanov won the bout against Samuel Brisuda (Slovakia), but was defeated by Iaroslav Bunakov (INA).

73 kg
Jasur Ibadli started the competition from the second stage. The Azerbaijani judoka, who eliminated Burak Sengur (Turkiye) from the competition, defeated Tigran Sarukhanyan (Armenia) and made it to the quarter-finals. Ibadli, who lost to Bogdan Velichkov (Serbia) in one step of the final, will fight for the bronze medal.
