The Open European Judo tournament has started in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
Azerbaijani judokas won 1 gold and 1 silver medal on the first day of the competition, Idman.biz reports.
In the men's competition, Rashad Yelkiyev (66 kg) defeated all his opponents and took the highest place on the podium. Huseyn Allahyarov, competing in the 60 kg category, lost in the final and won the silver medal.
The tournament will be concluded today.
