Ajdar Bagirov won the start against Jos Schell (Netherlands), then won over Gaga Gagadze (Georgia) and Mate Lakosha (Hungary) and advanced to the semi-finals. He lost to Muhammedsodiq Sadikov (Uzbekistan) at this stage and will compete with Alireza Nikseresht (Iran) for the bronze medal.

Kanan Nasibov defeated Tamaz Beganashvili (Georgia), Recep Ergin (Turkey), Darius Dobre (Romania) and Arsen Kadzaev (IJF) and advanced to the finals. In the decisive fight, he will face Denis Bachayev (IJF).
