Teams of 32 countries will participate in the Grand Slam judo tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on October 11-13.
France will be represented by the most - 19 athletes, Idman.biz reports.
17 judokas from Uzbekistan and 15 from tatami owners will perform. With 14 athletes each, Azerbaijan ranks fourth in the number of participants along with Germany and the Philippines.
Azerbaijan’s team includes Balabay Aghayev, Huseyn Allahyarov (both 60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev, Rashad Elkiyev (both 66 kg), Rashid Mammadaliyev, Nariman Mirzayev (both 73 kg), Zelim Tckaev, Omar Rajabli (both 81 kg), Murad Fatiyev, Musa Huseynli (both 90 kg), Ushangi Kokauri, Imran Yusifov (both +100 kg), Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg) and Acelya Toprak (57 kg).
