An Open Asian judo tournament was held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, on October 12-13.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani judokas achieved remarkable success, winning 1 gold and 3 bronze medals during the competition.
On the second day of the tournament, our athletes secured 3 medals. Elcan Shafiyev (81 kg), Jamal Feyziyev, and Eldar Aliyev (both in +100 kg) each earned bronze medals. On the first day of the tournament, Murad Murdali (60 kg) claimed the top spot on the podium.
In terms of total medal count, the Azerbaijani judokas finished in third place overall and third among men.
Azerbaijan was represented by 17 judokas across 5 weight categories in the tournament.
