At a medical seminar held by the European Judo Union in Baku, fascinating statistical data was shared.
According to Idman.biz, the focus was on injuries sustained by athletes throughout the year. It was reported that since the beginning of the season, 200 tournaments have taken place across the continent, involving various age groups. A total of 57,545 athletes participated in these competitions.
During this period, 1,198 injuries were recorded. Of the injured, 55.4% were male athletes, while 44.6% were female.
Overall, the statistics present a positive outlook, as only 2.08% of all participants suffered injuries.
The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing among medical professionals in the sports industry and provide access to the latest information.
