On October 21-22, the European Judo League will be held in Riga, the capital of Latvia, under the auspices of the European Judo Union.
According to the information given to idman.biz by the Judo Federation, 314 athletes from 22 countries will participate in the Tournament.
Azerbaijan will be represented in the competition by 16 judokas in 7 weight categories among boys.
The judokas will be led by the head coach of the cadet team, Rustam Alimli, and the coaches of the cadet team, Nijat Shikhalizada and Emin Iskenderov. They are Riga Bahadir Feyzullayev, Rustam Gasimzade (both 50 kg), Telman Abdullayev, Nihad Mamishov (both 55 kg), Mirkhalig Iskenderov, Ahmad Rustamov (both 60 kg), Umid Gurbanov, Said Sharifov, Salim Sultanov (all three 66 kg), Jasur Ibadli, Ahmad Mehdiyev (both 73 kg), Mehdi Abbasov, Huseyn Eyvazli, Ali Gazimammadov (all three 81 kg), Subhan Akhundov and Rasul Samadli (both +90 kg) will have a chance
It should be noted that Azerbaijan Judo Federation's A-category international judge Akif Tahirov and B-category international judge Bahriyya Huseynova will be in the competition.
