Ismayilov said he was satisfied with the 3 female judokas competing in the competition: "We won 1 bronze medal in the tournament. Aydan Valiyeva took the 3rd place. Fidan Alizade and Gultaj Mammadliyeva lost due to a sudden mistake. In the match for the bronze medal, Aydan did not allow his opponent to breathe and defeated her opponent by ippon. All 3 of our athletes showed themselves well in this competition. The judokas of Azerbaijan, who could not win a medal, were defeated at the last moment. I expect better results from them in future competitions."
It should be noted that in the Oceania Tournament, along with Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg), Murad Fatiyev (90 kg) won a medal. He took the 1st place.
