The first karate ranking tournament of the year has started in Athens.
Idman.biz reports that two of Azerbaijan's karate players who started the competition did not win a medal.
Nuran Rzazade (67 kg) won his first two matches. He lost to Latvian Artutrs Stepanovs in the quarter finals. The opponent's final appearance allowed Nuran to participate in consolation matches. But he lost to his Turkish colleague Omar Ozer and finished the tournament on the 7th place.
It should be noted that Suada Karimova (55 kg) took the 7th place in the women's competition.
