The Azerbaijan kickboxing team won another medal in the III World Combat Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Idman.biz informs that Amin Guliyev (60 kg) won the gold medal.
In the final, he faced Ali Ataberk Gurbuzcan, the winner of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held last year in Konya, Türkiye. The young athlete of Azerbaijan won the gold medal of the multisport competition by defeating his Turkish opponent.
Amin Guliyev, a student of Eduard Mammadov and nicknamed "White Wolf", defeated Andres Unzue Casajus (Spain) in the 1/4 finals and Maksim Semenchuk in the 1/2 finals.
It should be noted that this is the 2nd big success achieved this year by athletes of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation (AKF) in the multi-sport competition. This year, Farid Agamoghlanov, another student of Eduard Mammadov, won the gold medal of the III European Games in Myslenice, Poland. With that, AKF athletes managed to return from the 2nd big multi-sport competition with a 100% result.
