Azerbaijani MMA fighter Nariman Abbasov (77 kg) was set to compete at the “Hype Fighting Championship” tournament, but the event was interrupted.
Idman.biz reports that Russian security forces intervened, preventing the tournament from proceeding at Moscow’s Live Hall venue. During league organizer Mohammad Nosayev's speech in the octagon, authorities demanded the event be stopped, citing that Abbasov's match against Marif Pirayev had not been approved by law enforcement. The host announced a technical delay, and Nosayev was escorted out by masked officers.
Ultimately, it was decided to cancel the Hype FC tournament entirely.
