The medal list of the current Olympic cycle has been announced.
The table takes into account the awards received in the world championships in Olympic sports in 2020-24, as Idman.biz reports.
Azerbaijan won 18 medals during the reporting period. The athletes have 5 silver and 13 bronze awards.
Azerbaijan`s team is 39th in the world in number of medals. Athletes from only 38 countries have received more awards.
In general, representatives of 102 countries won 2546 medals (790 gold, 788 silver, 968 bronze) during the cycle. With 98 gold, 89 silver and 95 bronze, the United States tops both lists with 282 medals.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani athletes won four silver medals in wrestling and one in fencing. 5 bronze medals were obtained in wrestling, 4 in judo, 3 in boxing, and 1 in taekwondo.
