He went to the competition with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and won 1 national medal. Sahib Bagirov (95 kg) won a silver medal in second place among his 25 competitors.
The World Championship was significant for the Azerbaijan Strongman Federation. Jamal Ahmadzada, a member of the Federation and an international judge, defended justice at the World Championship for the first time.
Elnura Baghirova, another member of the Azerbaijan national team, was the fourth in the championship, where she appeared for the first time, standing one step away from the medal.
