13 students of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy majoring in "Physical education and sports rehabilitation" participated in the internship program held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
As Idman.biz reports, on the first day of the program, Tereza Novakova, head of the Department of Physiotherapy of Karlov University, organized a campus tour for representatives and students of the Academy and familiarized them with classrooms and equipment.
Then the students participated in the practical classes of the teachers of the department Helena Vomackova, Michaela Stupkova, Katerina Marsakova. During the lessons, extensive information was given about muscle tests, MET (Muscle Energy Technique) methods and other topics.
In addition, the students closely participated in the provision of rehabilitation services at the Kladno hospital located outside the university under the guidance of Ilona Kucerova, observing the examination and muscle tests of patients who had a car accident and stroke.
On the last day of the program, a final survey of the experience was held with the students. This made it possible to determine the level of knowledge of the students before and after the program, and the progress they made.
At the end, the Academy students' certificate presentation ceremony was held in the Karolinum hall, the oldest hall of Karlov University. Distinguished students were presented with a certificate as well as a specially prepared gift.
Karlov University is one of the oldest universities in Central Europe. In 2023, an agreement was signed between the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and Karlov University for the purpose of preparing joint bachelor's and master's programs, exchange of academic and student staff, and organizing an internship program.
