The cities that will host the III CIS Games to be held in Azerbaijan next year and the number of sports in the program of the competition have been announced.
Idman.biz reports, it was announced by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.
He said in the Minister's Point of View that the CIS Games will be held in 14 cities: "The competition will be held in 14 cities of Azerbaijan - Ganja, Khankendi, Mingachevir, Gabala, Ismailli, Sheki, Shamkir, Tovuz, Gazakh, Goygol, Yevlakh, Oguz, Tartar and 33 programs for 22 sports will be organized in Goranboy. The III CIS Games will be the biggest competition to be held in Azerbaijan in terms of geography and the number of sports.
The minister noted that preparations for such a large-scale multi-sport event have already started: "We are continuing preparations for the CIS Games. The working group has already started working to organize the Games at a high level."
III CIS Games will be held in 2025.
