On July 2, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with the athletes and their coaches who successfully represented Azerbaijan in continental and world championships and prestigious international competitions.
As per Idman.biz, the meeting was organized at the National Gymnastics Arena.
During the month, a video showing the successes achieved in international competitions was shown. Later, Farid Gayibov congratulated the athletes for successfully representing Azerbaijan in international arenas and wished them new successes.
They gave information about their victories and performances in weightlifting, athletics, boxing, judo, archery, academic rowing, coastal rowing, kayaking, canoeing, capoeira, fencing, arm wrestling, grappling and grappling qi, powerlifting, paraswimming, sambo, basketry, shotokan karate-do sports. The coaches of the national teams talked about the preparation process and successes of the athletes.
Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva also took part in the meeting.
