Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, chaired his 16th meeting with representatives from various sports federations at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
At the meeting held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA), Minister Farid Gayibov greeted the representatives of the federation and congratulated them on their success in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games as well as the Summer Paralympic Games, as reported by Idman.biz.
He also discussed recent accomplishments and outlined the tasks ahead, providing an overview of the meeting's agenda.
German sports expert Matthias Friedrich Hahn delivered a presentation on sports medicine, followed by a detailed report on Azerbaijan's participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Further discussions covered preparations for the III CIS Games, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan in 2025, along with topics such as representation in international federation elections, admissions to the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, and the social media activities of sports federations.
At the event, the strategic development plan of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation was presented and AMADA's presentation was heard. The activity of CYSSs, training of sports psychologists, preparation of the new version of the technical regulation for publication, and other issues were also discussed.
Minister Farid Gayibov made relevant recommendations regarding selection work in the regions and other issues.
Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva and the head of the Ministry's Sports Department Elnur Mammadov also took part in the meeting.
