Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, held a meeting with athletes and their coaches who have achieved remarkable success in prestigious international competitions.
According to Idman.biz, the event took place at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, beginning with the playing of the National Anthem.
During the ceremony, Minister Gayibov awarded Paralympic athletes and their coaches with various honors, including the "Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan", and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree "For Service to the Country" orders. Additionally, recipients were presented with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class "Labor" orders and "Progress" medals for their outstanding contributions.
Gayibov extended his congratulations to the athletes for their recent international achievements, emphasizing that the past month has been rich with innovations and historical milestones for Azerbaijan's sporting community. He wished the athletes continued success, and a video montage showcasing their victories was also presented.
Athletes from a wide array of sports, including acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics, athletics, billiards, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, archery, various traditional and martial arts such as Kazakh wrestling, sumo, Para taekwondo, Para swimming, Para athletics, Para judo, and others, shared reports of their competitions and triumphs.
The event was also attended by Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva.
