Azerbaijan will be represented by 160 athletes at the upcoming Gymnasiade, which will take place in Bahrain from October 23 to 31.
According to Idman.biz, the event will span 10 days and feature over 5,000 school athletes from more than 80 countries competing in 25 sports.
Disciplines include athletics, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, boxing, taekwondo, karate, judo, table tennis, badminton, tennis, handball, volleyball, sports dance, chess, javelin throw, darts, and Paralympic sports. The competitions will take place across 14 different venues.
The Gymnasiade is regarded as a Mini-Olympic event for schoolchildren worldwide.
