AMADA launches new project: Values of clean sport through the lens of photographers

The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), in partnership with Gilavar Photo Club, has launched an international photo competition titled “Olympic Spirit: Beyond Victory and Defeat.”

According to Idman.biz, the competition aims to promote the values of clean sport and fair play to the public through photography, especially in 2024, the Olympic and Paralympic year.

The competition themes include the joy of victory, the disappointment of defeat, memorable moments from the Games, and the promotion of a clean and fair sports spirit. Special attention will be given to photos of Azerbaijani athletes taken by international photographers.

All submitted photos must be original and taken during the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Awards, adhering to international standards, will be presented by the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP) and Gilavar Photo Club. Winners will be selected by a jury panel from Italy, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan.
The competition seeks to celebrate the beauty of sport and fair competition, inspiring a global conversation about the unifying values of the Olympic spirit through photography.

Submissions are open until November 30, 2024. A special exhibition showcasing the submitted photos will be held in December.
