The Para-athlete of the Azerbaijan national team, Rufat Rafiyev, won the right to participate in the Paris-2024 Summer Paralympic Games.

Rafiyev will go to the starting line in the shot put. As a result, Azerbaijan's number of Paralympians for Paris 2024 has increased to 13.
This will be the second Paralympics in which the Azerbaijani athlete will participate. He previously competed in Rio 2016.
