65-year-old legend won't compete in his ninth Olympics

Australia's equestrian team for Paris will be announced on Thursday.

As Idman.biz reports, Australian Olympic legend Andrew Hoy will miss out on Paris selection.

The 65-year-old, who experienced Olympic excitement for the first time in Los Angeles-1984, has missed only Beijing-2008 and Rio-2016 in the last 40 years. The jockey, who participated in multi-sport event 8 times, is the Australian record holder in this indicator. Hoy, who was upset about being left out of the team, hinted at his dream of the next Olympics by writing "The book is not closed yet".

The Australian jockey won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the Olympics. His silver and bronze at the Tokyo Games made him Australia's oldest Olympic medalist.
