A farewell ceremony was held for a number of athletes of the Azerbaijan Olympic team to participate in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
As Idman.biz reports, the event organized at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Deputy Mariana Vasileva, representatives of the federation, fans and athletes' relatives.
Initially, our judo, badminton, swimming, rowing and archery teams left for Paris. The Azerbaijani boxers have been in Paris for 2 days. They went directly to the venue of the Games from the training camp in Germany.
The Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games will start on July 26 and end on August 11.
48 athletes of Azerbaijan will perform in 17 programs in 15 sports at the Olympics. The flag bearers of the Azerbaijani team in the competition will be judoka Gultaj Mammadaliyeva and boxer Mahammad Abdullayev.
