The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games continues.
The parade of athletes has started at the event organized on the Seine river, per Idman.biz.
As previously announced, this time the delegations of the countries are not circling the stadium. Teams move along the river Seine in boats.
According to tradition, Greece was the first to pass in front of the spectators gathered along the river. The boat carrying the Azerbaijan national team made their 16th move.
Azerbaijani flag bearers are judoka Gultaj Mammadaliyeva and boxer Mahammad Abdullayev. The delegation was ranked after Austria and before the Bahamas. The parade will be concluded by hosts France.
The Olympics, in which the Azerbaijani national team is represented by 48 athletes, will continue until August 11.
