Judo competitions of the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games have started today.
Idman.biz reports, the award winners in two weight classes will be announced on the first day.
Men compete in 60 kg, women in 48 kg. Two judokas of the Azerbaijan national team also went to the tatami. Both of them are upset about the defeat.

60 kg
Balabey Agayev, who was released from the first stage, started the Olympics from the R16 finals. He wrestled Won Jin Kim (South Korea) who defeated Simon Zulu (Zambia). Agayev finished the race early because the opponent called the stage.
Women
48 kg
Leyla Aliyeva started the fight from the 1/16 final. Azerbaijani judoka who faced Khalimojon Kurbonova (Uzbekistan) lost and said goodbye to the Olympics.
Azerbaijan judo team is represented by 9 athletes in Paris-2024.
