The last judoka of the Azerbaijan national team in the French capital has finished his performance. Ushangi Kokauri, who took part in her third Olympics, took 7th place in Paris.

Ushangi Kokauri started Paris 2024 from the Elimination Round of 32. He won his first match against Rafael Silva (Brazil) by ippon. After Kokauri, he eliminated Martti Puumalainen (Finland) and advanced to the quarterfinals. On the way to the semi-finals, Ushangi faced Kim Minjong (South Korea). Since the opponent won, our judoka participated in the consolation match. Kokauri, who wrestled with Andy Granda (Cuba), lost and said goodbye to the competition.
Azerbaijan was represented by 9 judokas in the competition. Hidayat Heydarov (-73 kg) and Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg) won Olympic golds in the first 6 days.
