"The competition went well for me. It didn't go bad."

Azerbaijani swimmer Maryam Sheikhalizadekhangah, who performed at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, told Idman.biz.

She appreciated her participation in the Olympics. According to Sheikhalizadekhangah, competition was high in the 50 m freestyle swimming competition: "79 swimmers were testing their speed. That is why the competition was high. I had my best result ever in an indoor pool in Paris. I will try to perform better in the future."

The athlete who also participated in Tokyo 2020 said that the competition is better organized in the Japanese capital. She said that not everything was in order in Paris 2024 in terms of nutrition and transport.

Sheikhalizadekhangah took the 35th place in the qualification stage. In the 6th group, Azerbaijani swimmer, who reached the finish in 26.76 seconds, was the 3rd in that group. In total, 16 swimmers with the best results among 79 athletes qualified for the semi-finals.
