Azerbaijan judo team in the report of IJF

The International Judo Federation (IJF) has concluded the results of individual competitions at the Paris Olympics.

Idman.biz reports, the press service of the institution mentioned two gold medals of the Azerbaijani national team in the report on the competition.

The article on the official website of the IJF highlighted the participation of judokas from 122 countries in the Summer Games: "14 Olympic titles were divided between 11 countries: Japan, Azerbaijan, France, Georgia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Croatia, Canada, France and Slovenia. 26 countries won medals and 37 countries advanced to the final block. If we look carefully, we will see that Japan has taken first place with three gold medals, ahead of Azerbaijan, which has two championships. France took the third place with one gold medal. But with a total of nine medals, including Teddy Riner's victory."

Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) won the title of Olympic champion in Paris.
