Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games continue.
Idman.biz reports that today three more athletes of the Azerbaijan national team have joined the competition, and one has finished his fight.
Azerbaijan's team went to the French capital with 48 athletes. Azerbaijan is represented in 17 programs of 15 types.
39 of our athletes have already started the Olympics. Three of them won awards in the French capital. Judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg) became the champions and sang the national anthem of Azerbaijan. Taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov (58 kg) took the second place, and Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) won silver. Boxer Alfonso Dominguez guaranteed at least a silver medal by advancing to the finals.
In total, 38 national members said goodbye to Paris 2024. Alfonso Dominguez continues his fight. The other 9 athletes will start the Olympics in the last days of the competition. These are 5 artistic gymnasts and 4 freestyle wrestlers.
