Within the framework of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, the next meeting dedicated to the victory of Azerbaijani athletes was held at the Azerbaijan Olympic House operating in Paris.
Azerbaijani athletes Alfonso Dominguez, Georgi Meshvildishvili, who won silver and bronze medals at the Olympic Games, as well as Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnastics team, which successfully performed in the final stage of the Olympics and took 5th place, were greeted with applause, Idman.biz reports.
The participants of the event congratulated Azerbaijani athletes on their victory and expressed their pride in them.
Members of the Azerbaijani Olympic team, Olympic and world champions, representatives of sports delegations of various countries, athletes representing Azerbaijan at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, their coaches, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, foreign guests, members of the media and other persons took part in the event.
Athletes and specialists from foreign countries and those who spoke at the event congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful performance of Azerbaijani athletes at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. At the event, the names of the flag bearers of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Team at the closing ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games were announced. The honor of carrying Azerbaijani flag was entrusted to Azerbaijani taekwondo player, silver medalist of the Olympics, Kashim Magomedov, and the most experienced member of Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnastics team, Zeynab Hummatova.
The event continued with various Azerbaijani music performed by the young singer Mardan Kazimov.
